Rates/Fees

Water Rate Schedule:
Customers will be notified of any future rate changes.
Current rates are as follows.

Gallonage Charge:

$4.46 – from 0 to 2,000 gal.
$5.25 – from 2,001 to 4,000 gal.
$6.30 – from 4,001 to 6,000 gal.
$8.40 – from 6,001 gal. to 8,000 gal.
$10.50 – from 8,001 to 10,000 gal.
$12.60 – from 10,001 to 12,000 gal.
$15.75 – from 12,001 to 14,000 gal.
$18.90 – from 14,001 to 16,000 gal.
$24.15 – from 16,001 to 20,000 gal.
$29.40 – from 20,001 to 30,000 gal.
$34.65 – from 30,001 gal. and over

Meter Relocation Fee:

A fee to relocate an existing meter at the request of the customer will be charged at actual cost, not to exceed Tap Fees.

Reconnection Fees:

If water service and membership is terminated:
If the party is a New Customer (See MEMBERSHIP for New Customers), a fee of $100 will be assessed to reconnect the service.

If the party is an Existing Customer (See MEMBERSHIP for Existing Customer), the party will be considered a New Customer and payment of a Membership Fee of $500.00 will be required plus the $100.00 Reconnect Fee. The account must be paid in full before service will be reconnected. Late payment fees will also be assessed.

Meter Test Fees:

Meters will be tested at the request of the customer for a fee of $25. Requested repeat tests within a two year period will result in a customer fee of $50 if the meter is determined to be accurate.

Commercial and Non-Residential Deposits:

Deposits for such accounts will be 1/6th of the anticipated annual bill, but shall, in no case, be less than a membership fee.

Governmental Testing, Inspection and Costs Surcharge:

After notice to customers, BRR Water SC may increase rates to recover increased costs for inspection fees, water testing and similar unanticipated fees.

Construction Charges and Line Extensions:

In rare or unusual cases, significant costs may be incurred to provide service. In those cases the customer will be notified in advance. These costs will be charged to the customer at cost. Example: Extend a water header. Provide booster pumping capacity, etc.

Regulatory Assessment:

TCEQ rules require that a fee of 1/2% of the monthly bill be collected.
